With over 20 years’ experience as a Senior Operations Director within SME’s, I have developed a broad, hands-on understanding of how businesses and organisations work, from people and processes to customers, suppliers, finance, systems, and day-to-day operations.
Since establishing my own consultancy in 2012, I have worked with businesses on a range of special projects and development initiatives, particularly where the required expertise or capacity isn’t available internally.
I bring senior, leadership level experience to your organisation without the need for a permanent appointment, and adapt my involvement to the needs of your particular business and project.
When Something Important Needs To Happen
Businesses don’t always need another permanent member of the management or leadership team.
Sometimes they need someone experienced to step in, understand the situation, work out what needs to happen and take respnsibility for getting things done.
That may be a project that has been sitting on your “to do” list, an opportunity that needs developine, a problem that needs resolving, or simply something that needs more time, attention, experience or capacity than your existing team can provide.

I am not a traditional consultant that simply provides recommendations and leaves others to implement them.
My approach is straight forward. Understand the situation. work out what needs to happen. And take responsibility for making it happen.
I am comfortable moving between the bigger picture and the practical detail, working with senior decision makers, while also getting involved in whatever is necessary to move a project forward.
The level of involvement is entirely flexible. I can provide advice and direction, work alongside an existing team, help you develop a new team, or take ownership of a project and drive it through to completion. The option is entirely yours.

My background is in senior operational leadership within small and medium sized businesses.
That experience has given me exposite to the many different elements that make a business work eficiently and effectively and, importantly, to the connections between them.

This exposure and experience means that I am able to look at a problem from multiple perspectives and understand hoe a decision in one part of a business can affect everything else.
Sometimes You Don’t Need A Specialist.

But, sometimes you need an experienced professional that can walk into a situation, analyse it, understand the problem, ask the right questions, and get on with delivering the solutions.
Someone that can see the bigger picture without losing sight of the of the detail. Someone that can think strategically but is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves and making things happen.
